It usually needs a microprocessor to drive 4 digital-input signals. Data on the SDI pin clocks into the IC’s input moves registers on the rising edge of the clock. The data in the shift registers transfers into internal on/off latches on the falling edge of the LE .. You should connect one end of the reed to ground, the other to the input, and a pull-up resistor (1-100k) from the same input and up to Vcc.Hard-wiring to ground permanently enables the IC. You can hook SDI to the power-supply voltage to automatically turn on the LED at power-up. This connection clocks in ones to turn on all outputs
A reed switch is simply a magnetic switch. Wire it like any SPST switch. The input goes low when the reed is activated by a magnet. you have to use a 100 ohm resistor for the connection
Reed switch has direct multiplexer connection.Reed switch modules, which sense the presence or absence of magnetic fields, require only a pair of telephone-grade wires to connect.Try to connect the small red wire from the reed switch to the white wire that stands out of the charger receptacle and plugs into the red wire on the F/R microswitch.
