UI dll message : version error of UCF file

    Hi,

I have windows xp with 1gb ram installed. After installing an Epson printer via the network have received the message:

"ui dll message: version error of UCF file"

I've tried everything to uninstall it gives me the message:
"The printer connection could not be removed. The print spooler service is not running"

I tried to enter Safe Mode but I appear printers. The computer has a single user account named "Administrator". Besides the printer's biggest problem is that they let me work with Word because it appears the above message that can only be removed with the "task manager" and then I start bar disappears.

I've tried installing updated drivers from Epson but will not let me install it back out the error. I've also tried installing the office 2007 and is even worse.

How can I remove the printer installed wrong? "Accessing the registry? What is another way I can remove the printer from the system? imagine using the search windows registry but do not know how

Re: UI dll message : version error of UCF file

Hello, the error message is because a *. ucf file is missing or corrupt. Check first in the windows folder if there is any file with ucf and weighing probably be at 0 kb. Note the file name and look in the archives of the printer itself is supposed to just replace it, and now the problem has been corrected. As you do not say no or printer model so we can not know the *. ucf printer is damaged. A quick way to activate the print spooler is writing on Start> Run: net start spooler.

    Check the print spooler service:
    - Click on top right click My Computer.
    - Go to Manage.
    - Down goes into Services and Applications.
    - Give Services
    - In the list on the right look for "Print Queue"
    - Push it with the right button.
    - Give Stop and then Start.
With this we do is restart the print spooler service if it has been blocked.
