Cox Cable Modem Troubleshooting

I recently got Cox Cable modem, the problem when i try to access internet through Cox Cable modem it gives me an error message :Error 678 "The remote computer did not respond". Does any one know method for Troubleshooting cox cable modem.

While troubleshooting cox cable modem first check that the network cable is connected to the computer and to the modem. Power Light should be green which means the modem is plugged in correctly.

Error 678 is an error that is reported when a remote system is not responding properly. Check the cable Light, When this light is on, your connection is fine. If it is not then disconnect the cable which connected to computer and modem. Turn off the modem.Wait two minutes.Turn on the modem.

Follow the basic troubleshooting steps for cox cable modem :

Off - cox cable modem not receiving power.
On - cox cable modem is receiving power.

Flashing led below the data led indicate that cox cable modem is scanning the network and attempting to register.
