    Need Component Capture card details

    Hi,
I had recently heard that Component has a released a new 1080p capture card for the HTPC system. I too have a HTPC and I am using a component cable in it. Does anyone uses the card. If yes then what is the output. Does it is worth buying the product. I am using a TV Tuner card which has gone quiet old. So if I discovered that it is worth working then I will go for it. But before that I need a users feed back on the card. Thanks in advance.

Yes. You are right about that. Component has now released it own 1080p capture card to gave its users a high definition output quality. The main feature that card gives is an uncompressed videos which looks smaller and easier to manage. But this reduces the HD quality. The quality gets degraded and you would not get what you want. But the uncompressed video capture feature is best and fast way of capturing videos. A full resolution on multiple monitors.

I recommend Set Top Boxes in the place of a capture card. Because they are more reliable and gives you a better output. The quality of videos on a capture card varies as per the broadcast. Then you can also face many encrypting issues. The card is best for connecting a camcorder and then capture video. It gives you much higher quality as compare to the traditional recording.

The best thing I liked about the card is that it gives you intense video quality and it is just a small size card that fits inside your computer. The card supports a HDMI interface which is the new signal standard. It offers you two option. Either to capture a uncompressed video or a Compressed video. Both varies in quality and output. The card is termed best for camcorders. You can capture a video via HDMI support and get the best quality you need.
