Hi Friends,
I would like to grasp the possible way of ejecting my cd rom disk tray via command prompt, but i don't know how to do that. And I would like to know any other interesting command prompts to play around with.
thanks and peace

Yeah it is possible. It depends on the operating system. Not all operating systems support this feature. In linux the command is simply Eject you just type it in again and you will get the drive to close itself. I assume however you are speaking about windows and i do not know of any way to open a cdrom drive from the command line.
You want to open the CD-ROM drive with command prompt. In windows Operating System, this feature is absent, whereas in console based OS's such as Linux and Solaris, there is option for this. In linux the command is simply 'Eject'. You just type it in again and you will get the drive to close itself. But for windows, there is a utility/tool 'Hotkey CD Eject' which is a small and simple program that allows you to eject your CD tray with your keyboard or from a tray icon. You can specify the CD drive and the program can auto-start with Windows.
Well as far as Microsoft Windows operating system there is no command which can operate your CD rom from the command prompt. So you obviously cannot operate or open your CD rom.But in Linux you can use a simple command eject to perform this certain function. However I have a small Pascal based executable that can be run from the command prompt that opens the CD tray.
