My computer lost my disk drive

I am having Intel Dual Core system and Windows XP install on it, everything was working fine when i was working on it, but after coming from my business tour when i started my computer over here i am not able to see all of my drives and in that i am having lots of data. Does anyone tell me what to do in this case ?

Before going ahead restart your computer and go into BIOS setting and have a check does your Hard Drive is being detected in BIOS if not then you need to check out the below links

If it's working properly then goto Disk Management and check over there does your hard disk is showing your or not.

I had a check for the same i am able to see mt Hard rive in BIOS and Disk Management too at the same time i try to right click on My computer and try to explore but still no results.

I was also facing similar issues i try to physically remove the drive cable and reconnect it after that try reboot your computer to re-detect all your Hard drive and it was working. If this to doesn't work then you need to either format your Hard drive or restoring your Windows might help you out or check out the below link.
