Sata vs sata2 cables

hi,

I just bought a new Sata 2 drive. but i dont know its cable compatibility my motherboard have support for sata 2 so please can any one help me to select cable for Sata II ? can I use a Sata 1 cable ? is that cause for any any speed loss?please reply.

There is support for SATA, SATAII, and SAS by same cable. Where SATA 2 cables have redesigned end side plug to prevent it getting off. If you currently having the SATA cable, you can reuse it for your new drive there is no problem.

The L shape/size is the same for both cable just change is SATA II cables have the ability to use a clip on the cable to stop it being pulled out accidentally. i think with a sata I cable and sata II cable difference is accusing speed for cache but the speed difference is too small you would never notice difference as caches are not that big.
