Error burning in DVD using OS X

I am trying to burn DMG files on DVD-R. Creating a burn folder, put the file I want in there, etc. I was able to burn. I am trying to do more, but whenever I do the same thing, it prompts me to insert a blank disc.

Then i again inserted blank cd but same prompts again. Can anyone provide me solution for this ?

Exit that window. and restart you computer. after restarting the application, and you should be fine.

I think dmg is like the executable file to pc, I do not think it is a format used to burn a dvd

The DMG is just an image. It can be compared to an ISO file. If you go to the Disk Utility on your Mac and a stick or a cd in the drive, then click the button that says something about creating an image (I do not have my mac with me now ), it will create a DMG file on the disc in the drive.

I burn dual layer DVD. It works perfectly with a single layer, but it requires when a blank DVD DL. I moved between the different brands of DVD, but I have the same issue. Now i uses Toast.
