Deskjet 3845 Install error section name marker

Has anyone seen the error "section name marker in the INF is not complete or does not exist on a line by itself " or know what it means? I get the install done as far as the HP side is concerned but in Windows XP when found new hardware it says that it could not complete with the above error. I have tried many ways to install the driver but with no success. The printer appears in device Manager as a hidden item and says the driver is not installed. If I install the printer on another PC and connect to the printer on my home network I can print. However i dont want to have two PC's running just to print! PC spec is ASUS M/b 2.6 ghz processor 1.5gb RAM and SATA drive. XP Pro with SP3. I can install all sorts of things in this PC Graphic Cards, wireless cards Sound Cards, USB Cards HP SCanner etc with no problem. Just the HP Deskjet 3845 is causing an issue. Beeen trying for a week to resolve this but cant seem to find a solution

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Re: Deskjet 3845 Install error section name marker

Many thanks - I have already seen that and tried the fix but I think my error is slightly different as I cannot access the MSI.exe part as when I am in the same portion of the install its a rundll thats operating in Task Manager. That of course might be the problem but nobody seems to know or has seen the error I am getting. To me it seems as though the HP setup is trying to find something that isn't there or located somewhere else as the error is spontaneous. It finds the device when installing - installs USB Printing support then finds the printer and the second you click to install the driver the error appears. Thanks for your advice.
