Problems with ink status

Hello Everyone,

I have just transferred my Hp printer from my old computer to a new computer. I had installed Windows Xp on my old computer whereas i have installed Windows Vista on my new computer. Everything works perfectly except the ink level status, it doesn't shows me the ink status on my monitor. I would like to know it, in order to avoid any low ink problem in future. So do any one have any idea that how do i check my printer ink status on my monitor? Would appreciate your help if any one help me out to resolve this issue.

It sounds like the software had not install correctly. Do you have any other Hp printer drivers software installed that needs to be purged. On the new Hp menus the displays are different, i.e. the status monitor is buried in a sub-menu. Best thing you can do is purge all of the Hp files and surprisingly purge all of your temp/cache/internet explorer files. A good free cleaner that often helps clean up such problems is Purge IE pro which runs for free for 15 days. (I had problems with Photoshop version 6 not being able to see the scanners and IE pro solved the problem).

This problem can be solved manually by deleting all registry keys and files connected with this software, removing it from startup list and unregistering all corresponding DLLs. Additionally missing DLL's should be restored from distribution in case they are corrupted by Hp Status Monitor 3 Environment Check.

Follow the below steps mention:-

1) Click on printing preferences.

2) Click on Maintenance.

3) Click on Speed and progress.

4) Ensure the "Disable Hp Status Monitor 3" is not ticked.
