Keyboard in bios works but not in Windows

    Hello all,
This morning I lit my PC like every morning except that the keyboard doesnt work anymore! At the time of typing my password to launch my session, the keyboard does not answer any more! I have a USB keyboard, the LED are lit as of starting, and I can reach the bios without problem using the keyboard. Then I do not include/understand really anything and I absolutely need my PC before this evening to finish and send a work to a customer! If you have a solution at least to activate the visual keyboard that would be very useful.

PS: I of course tested on ALL my port USB (and I have 10 of them!) and with a keyboard PS 2, the result is the same one.

Make sure USB support is enabled in the Bios.
Or try to reinstall the driver for your keyboard as they are needed and more than likely your mouse/keyboard will resume normal service.

Does the problem go away when you remove the video card?

You could try disabling some unused devices in BIOS. Turn off things like parallel and serial ports, floppy controller perhaps. Do not allocate an IRQ to VGA.
Searching the forums can help you to find your answers more quickly

Try to go into your BIOS. Press the DEL-key upon startup, see if it says: Stop on ANY errors. This should be: Stop on every error EXCEPT keyboard, or something like that.
Try someone elses normal (not a USB-type) keyboard.
Try and use other USB ports if available.
Tell your PC, it will get it's first flying lesson (out of the window) if it does not behave better, maybe you impress it!
