Samsung hard disk problem

I am purchased HE160HJ SAMSUNG 160 GB HDD when I plug into the motherboard SATA 2 + alim, I turn on the PC and start vista it is recognized as a 2GB disk. I also formatted but nothing happens.

What should i do ?

My pc info :
windows vista 32bit + sp1
Phenom x 4 9550
2 gb kingston ram
1st HDD Maxtor 160 GB
radeon hd 4850

In Device Manager it is recognized as a 156 but go lower in the tab it is brand ability 2GB.

I think it's partition.

Yes but in the disk manager? (right click on "Computer" then "manage"). I think that the disk contains a partition of 2GB, you will have the heart net in the disk manager.
