    hi,

UniKey is an advanced software protection HID hardware USB Key that attaches to the USB port of a computer. UniKey is a driverless copy protection dongle meaning you need not install a driver. The operating system will install the driver automatically.

    Hello,

You can always encrypt a disk file. If you lose your key you have lost your files, but nobody can read them.

AxCrypt - A tool among others to encrypt personal files that I use (simple and practical with right click in the file manager).

Some similar hardware USB key for software protection like UNIKEY. Maybe that will help you. They are some driverless and some that need driver.

    Keylok II Need driver.
Hasp Key some model need driver
    SecureDongle X Driverless
    ROCKEY2 Driverless

Above are the similar protection key to UNIKEY. Here are some choices for you to choose.
