    Problem raid 0

    Hello,

    I installed a raid 0 (striping).
    So 2 hard drives, hard disk 1 visible but gain x2 the problem is that the 2 discs are adding so I find myself with a 1.2 T hd

    I have a amd 4200x2
    Asus M2N E
    and 2 Samsung SpinPoint F1 640 GB

    I have tested with windows by seven against

    someone has an idea?

    Well, that's normal, RAID 0 doubles the performance theoretically and storage is also doubled with two RAID 0 HDD 500GB => 1TB of storage.
    As against, if one HDD lache, all your data will be lost, said to be a backup on an external HDD if possible

    No problem there is the normal functioning of RAID0.
    In RAID1 (mirror), the space is of value to the unit of disk space. In RAID0 against it by adding volume.
