Formatting Usb drive

Hi friends I have a 120 gb USB Hard drive due to some reason I want to format it. But I don’t know how to format it .I would appreciate a person which can help me.

Sure it's very simple you can right on the drive and select Format and also which type of file system you want to have your drive.

But i guess this is the Systematic way of formatting a USB Hard drive which is as follows :-

1. Right click on My Computer and select Manage.
   
2. Open Device Manager and find your USB drive under Disk drives.
   
3. Right-click on the drive and select Properties.
   
4. Choose Policies tab and select the "Optimize for performance".
   
5. Select OK.
6. Go back to My computer.
   
7. Select the flash player.
   
8. Choosing FAT, FAT 32 or NTFS File System in the menu.
9. Device formatting is complete.
