Hard Drive Not Recognized

I have a problem with a Maxtor external hard drive.
When I connect my HD my PC, Windows makes the sound when it recognizes the new hardware but not against it appears nowhere!
Neither Administrative Tools, or in the property materiles ... Nowhere!

So I wanted to ask you if you have a solution ...

I know that there is not a lot of info in my description, but if you need more information, please do not hesitate to ask!
