Vista display fonts blurry because of ClearType

I recently switched from Windows XP to Vista and at the same time a screen of 22 inches to 24 inches. But I found in Vista display fonts blurry because of ClearType that is enabled by default. Even if the effect is smoothed, it was a blur effect that I find disagreeable.

The problem is that if you disable cleartype, the display is horrible: the characters are too thin and melting Vista (SegoeUI) is absolutely
not adapted to display it without cleartype.

Did you ever met the same problems? What have you done? I tried the cleartype tuner (which only exists in XP), but this does not change much). Is there specific fonts that give a better result?

Right now, I have the Verdana font for all displays. But some setting screen on Vista does not seem to reflect this.

Is there a tweak, tools that allow you to change, see in real time rendering without using the damn screen parameters of the appearance date and Windows 95.

There is a page online that allows optimization of clear error. Obviously it must be validated. Use the online tuner to turn on and tune your Windows ClearType settings from Internet Explorer:

In my case, under Vista, I have a HP 2159m screen (1920x1080 21.5 ") and even on DVI, I think, the clear type is effective to give a little depth to characters who look too thin by default. The display becomes very good.

The problem is that ClearType does not suit me. I have tried the cleartype tuner, but it does nothing convincing. In DVI, I am in the native resolution. Its very short. I disabled everything, but I had to change the basic policy to put only the verdana (but still not ideal). The moment its Bronx in Firefox, I have sites that appear very ill. I changed the default fonts and I can not find a re-values front. Tools to view and change fonts in Windows are not terrible either. I had to make some manipulations and forced to play with the zoom on each site.

Re: Vista display fonts blurry because of ClearType

FYI I have used Vista for two years with a CRT 19 "1280x1024 (or 960) in VGA with ClearType and it was okay, then I went to the screen above 1920x1080 in DVI, still cleartype works with standard fonts and 96 dpi as before. Although the display is a bit smaller, but the quality of screen display, DVI, make for the moment I think it's very good with the original settings. For Internet I use IE8 without specific display settings, characters in average size, and I rarely move to 125% zoom for sites that use fonts too small.
