    How to remove Help and Support button from Start Menu

    You can remove Help and Support button from Start Menu. Just follow these simple steps:
    In Windows XP:
    • Click Start button
    • Then click Run
    • Type regedit and press Enter
    • Browse:
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
    • Create a new DWORD value “NoSMHelp” with the value of 1
    • Exit Registry Editor
    • Restart your system


    In Windows Vista
    • Right click on the Start button
    • click on Properties
    • Click on the Customize button
    • Uncheck the Help box
    • Click on OK

    There is one more way to remove Help and Support button in Windows Vista by Local Group Policy Editor. Following steps will show you how:
    1. Open the Start Menu
    2. Type gpedit.msc and press Enter
    3. Click Continue for the UAC prompt
    4. Click on User Configuration in left pane
    5. Go to Administrative Templates >Start Menu and Taskbar
    6. Right click on Remove Help menu from Start Menu
    7. Click Properties
    8. Then Click on Enabled
    9. And click OK
    10. Close Local Group Policy Editor window

    there is other way at xp :

    right click start >> properties >> customize >> advanced tap >> Uncheck Help & supportt
