Software to create logo

I wish someone suggest 2 or 3 good software for creating logos. To my webprojects got me with something very simple (Designer Company Logo) and then give the retouching in photoshop. Now wanted something more powerful and with more options. I got many software but are paid ones.

Freehand or Corel are such softwares. Try them.

To create logos in a professional manner, must rely on a vector-editing software that allows a high creative freedom and as the vector creations, they can be enlarged, edited and exported to a whole range of objectives.


The most popular are:

Macromedia Freehand - which after Macromedia has been bought by Adobe and has seen its development done, but it is still quite popular.

Adobe Illustrator - One of the above-type of vector editing software. Compelling, but may be too complex for that starts.

CorelDraw - Also very popular, because it could be one of the greatest of ease of learning. But the purists of design may find it more limited.

The Freehand is obsolete, and CorelDRAW is unprofessional and poorly integrated. If you think of winning practices for working in the area stick to Adobe (for now).
