Want 800 x 600 resolution on 20" screen

I play a lot Counter Strike 1.6, and so I would like to stay in my basic resolution, i.e. 800 x 600. The problem is that my 20" screen has a native resolution of 1440 x 900. So in 800 x 600 resolution the game is painfully deformed.

After much research, I still did not found any solutions to get those resolution.

Do any one have any solution to this?

About me, I play games on a resolution of my screen (1024 x 768) and I have no problems. So why don't you simply play on 1440 x 900 resolution?

I just want to play in 800 x 600 resolution, do not try to dissuade me. I am here just to find out how to get it.

Can't you, I think with the manual settings of the screen, reduce it? Certainly, but, it will re-fit every time. Regarding the resolution, it should be the smallest to get more FPS (in the ratio of 1.3 or 1.6).

The problem is not with FPS anyway. It is maximum (100 fps) on CS 1.6. The problem is of size and especially the resolution. The config works much better in 800 x 600 then in 1440 x 900.
