AVG Anti-Vir Ver.8: Update failed!

There's something wrong going on with AVG Anti-Vir Ver.8 in my case. It is not installing any update, i am not having any issue in updating any other applications, it is just with AVG. As far as i am aware it started after blocking new web page checker. Is there anything i can try out further.

I was facing same issue earlier, i was not able to download any update for avg but later i tried downloading new avg and got an option for fixing the avg installed in my system. I simply had to click on fix and after that all updates got installed without any further issues. Since than all automatic updates gets installed in my system, just make sure that you are rebooting your system after installing update for avg.
