To resize image in gimp Right-click the image and select Open With -> Open with “GIMP Image Editor” > select Scale Image > image dimensions windows will appear > click the “up/down” arrows in the pixels menu and select percent it will allow you to adjust the pixel size > select File -> Save.

Resizing an image is equivalent to blowing an image up, or sizing it down. Go to Layer>Anchor Layer to merge the floating selection back onto the original layer or to resize this image open Image -> Scale Image > and adjust the Pixel Dimensions.

Once you open the image you want to resize in GIMP, you can open the menu and go to “image” drop-down. When you click on that item, the window will appear. Adjust width and height of your image, press OK and you'll see your image magically be resized.
