unsure Media Player Classic - Home Cinema + x264 playback help

    Hey,

I followed this guide Hardware acceleration of HD movies using DXVA to try and get my video card to take over some of the processing on these 1080p x264 mkv videos. I have an ati radeon mobility 2600 in my laptop, so it should work.

The problem lies in the fact that if I open an x264 file it won't play. No error, it even says the name of the movie and adjusts to the right resolution... but it just won't play. If I go to the MPC Video Decoder filter it says that DXMA is working. Other codecs work if I force them in the external filters, but they don't seem to do DXMA.

    Any ideas?

    Windows 7 build RC 7100 x86, 4gig ram, AMD turion 64 x2 2.3 ghz, radeon mobility 2600.
