    Razer Mamba Gaming mouse

Behind a Plexiglas packaging enthroned the Razer Mamba on stand. The presentation is Razer doubt succeeded. The cost of expensive packaging would probably be some production of a competing mouse over and drop the suggested retail price of 6,000 RS guess. Until the initial start-up pass, however, rich ten minutes, until the mouse unpacked, the battery and found the cable to the mouse is connected. Due to the hybrid of the latter is not absolutely necessary

Battery and charging cradle or cable

Razer leaves the customer with the Mamba the choice between cable or charger and battery. If the cable is removed from the mouse, which comes out to the front wheel mouse exposed to light. Also, the charging and transmitting station is a real eye-catcher with blue illuminated sensor button, two gold contacts for recharging the mouse, and a blue-lit floor. If the computer off, the charging station serves as a presentation stand for the mouse.

The reinitialized the cable to the mouse is very awkward and rarely works on the first try. The connection is very much indented inwards and a clear "objectives" as good as impossible. When removing the cable must also simultaneously at the bottom operated. Microsoft does this with a magnetic plug is much more elegant and simpler solution. Whether or not the mouse, with or without wires, is covered in practice and not on the differences with the microscope must be sought. In both operating modes, the mouse is very precise and without dropouts.

    Ergonomics and additional keys

The Razer Mamba nestles perfectly to medium and large hands. The mouse is for right-thinking, but also suitable for left-handers. The additional keys are then only limited reach. The surface is largely non-slip rubber coated. Only on the side surfaces are smooth, shiny plastic surfaces.

Razer Mamba test: Gaming mouse with optional cable

The gaming mouse has a total of seven programmable buttons, but also including the two main, the scroll and the two buttons DPI count.Subtracting from these five pushers remain only the two thumb buttons left. All buttons are easily accessible, have a good pressure point. However, at a price beyond the 100-euro mark more are expected.

    Mousewheel and processing
The processing will meet the price and there is not the slightest reason for any complaints. The pressure point of the keys is perfect and gives a good feedback. The scroll wheel is almost noiseless and pleasantly smooth. Due to the good screening of the scroll wheel is very precise scrolling possible.

    Driver

The driver is 31.4 megabytes in size and is available in version 1.0. The interface makes a tidy impression and is self-explanatory. Obviously for a gaming mouse of this caliber, it can also be long command sequences, so called macros that are stored. The settings, the Razer Mamba, thanks to an integrated memory of computer to computer. Only when you call the speed of the driver or save the settings takes a very long time. This should be done before the Razer product launch necessarily work again.

    DPI laser sensor and madness

In laser sensor is a "Razer Precision 5600 DPI with. The DPI resolution can be in the hundreds of drivers in increments. The DPI of the sensors increase, however, primarily serves the marketing and brings only the fewest players real benefits. The DPI show is slightly hidden on the left side surface in the front area. The display comes with three strokes, which in two colors (red and green), very minimalist from. At the same time, the display also serves as a bar.

Conclusion: Too expensive for a mouse

The Razer Mamba is currently available for $129.99 on the internet and is soon to be available in mid-April. Compared with the Microsoft Sidewinder X8, which also has a detachable cord, the price is much too high. The mouse can be very convincing, but in any field of new highlights, which justify this price. The installation of the cable to the mouse is also very cumbersome solution.

    Re: Razer Mamba Gaming mouse

The box is stylish, and VERY badass, showing off every asset the mamba has.The mouse itself is very slick, and while it may not glow as much as other razer mice, the base makesup for it.The 5600 DPI is very nice, easy to handle, and if you cant, you can easily change the sensativity.the cable for the base is NOT a plastic/rubber wire, its a cloth mesh which is EXTREMELY durable in my opinion, easy to wrap for storage, and will not get in the way.the base glows VERY bright, as to be expected of a few LEDs. The charge took no time at all (manual says 3, id give it 3.5 to 4 hours first charge).

Overall the mouse is AMAZING handles GREAT in game, no skipping, no delay at all, passed all my speed tests, its blazing fast, easy to hookup, no knowhow required, just follow the directions, youll fall in love the second you find out you can spin it around on your mousepad.
