HP Product Assistant Pop-up I recently bought a new HP Printer, installed it on my Windows XP Pro running desktop. During the installation it installed several HP related applications on the system. That’s fine. But the problem I’m facing is in every 10 to 15 minutes a pop comes up named “HP Product Assistant” on my screen. The only job of this assistant is to tell me that notify me when there is an error with the printer or something. That’s it. There use to be an OK button which when clicked, the pop up goes away and appears again after 15 minutes. This is very annoying. I don’t need it any more. Can anyone please tell me how can I get rid of it permanently? Many Thanks. |
Re: HP Product Assistant Pop-up Its too simple dude. You just need to prevent it starting up at the time of system bootup. Hence go to Start, click RUN, type “msconfig” without quotes and press Enter. Go to Startup tab and uncheck all HP related applications. Save and restart. That’s it. |
HP Product Assistant Pop-Up Even i have been through this problem earlier and disabling it from startup never helped. I even tried disabling notices within HPPA, unchecking it from MSCONFIG, trying to uninstall HPPA software, etc. but nothing worked. Finally i uninstalled each HP application, and re-installed it by perform the Custom install. I removed everything except the required drivers only. You can do the same. It will help you for sure. |
