Windows XP Media Center Version 2002 Service Pack 3 CD-ROM
Following loads of problems with my computer I have finally scanned my core system installation files + found some faulty ones. The scan program (WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe) asked me to insert my original CD-ROM, which I did. Unfortunately the original disk is 'Windows XP Media Center Version 2005 Service Pack 2'. I have downloaded Service Pack 3 since getting my computer. The scan program can't repair the files unless I actually insert the CD-ROM: Windows XP Media Center Version 2002 Service Pack 3 ! How can I get hold of this actual CD-ROM for the repair? I have been receiving ongoing help from Bullguard, who say that I really must get or borrow this CD for the repair. Thanks! :rofl_2:
Re: Windows XP Media Center Version 2002 Service Pack 3 CD-ROM
The scan program will just copy paste cmd.exe from the Windows XP Media Center Version 2005 Service Pack 2 to the system. So if you can try to find cmd.exe file directly from web and copy paste it in the mentioned location then there is no requirement for such disk. Or else you will need to contact Microsoft for the disc.
