| Anyone tested HTC One X HD movies (1080p and 720p) with high bitrates
Can anyone here shed some light on this , I haven’t seen any major tech site made a review about playing the HD movies on the high bit rate with the HTC One X. actually I ma planning to buy this device and I need to know the performance of the phone with decoding HD movies. So is there anyone here has this phone and can test this and post the specs of the movie that you have tested and what do you feel about this and the way One X behaves when playing. I will be really glad to know that Thanks in advance |

Like to tell you that it is useless as the with the 4 GB per file limit. I have tried the 720p and that works with no issue but I didn’t bother running the 1080P as all those file is above 4 GB |

That is correct that it not worth for the 4 GB size file but if you still like to find out how the 1080p movie going to work on this device then I like to suggest you that try the sample or via smb. You be able to use es file explorer for that and use the MX video |

I have tested it and it play smooth trough the hardware decoding but when played trough the software decoding than it was really choppy with the MX player . that file that I use was 1080p MKV file . also like to tell you that there was no sound when you play the file that has ac3 audio with the hard ware decoding , because that is not compatible with the ac3 audio so then you have to play it trough the software decoding and that play the movie choppy and most of the mkv files contain ac3 sound |

Well I have use the Diceplayer that work perfectly ok and it was playing all the 1080p movies including the subtitle but the only is that I say I s the ICS 3Dot menu button remain there like forever , and that make it basically unusable till it get fixed |

I have test the Moboplayer but have to disappoint you that this application is even worse than the stock played but I was looking in to Diceplayer and i think that will work fine with the HTC One X as it has the Tegra3 gpu and the Qualcomm S3 cpu . I have same device that is equipped with the Tegra3 / Qualcomm 8960 and that was running the 1080i/p clips smoothly with diceplayer. But considering the above post guess I have to wait till this issue was fixed |
