Cannot upgrade to 2GB RAM in HP Mini 110-3500

Today I got HP Mini 110-3500 netbook (particularly a 110-3538TU / LD928PA) and I bought a 2GB RAM separately. I lastly installed the RAM except the device unsuccessful to boot. I tried 3 times and it for all time worked through the unique 1GB except in no way with the 2GB upgrade. The memory is from Kingston. Do you think that this Mini 110 known to simply work with definite brands of RAM? Do I require changing something else within the PC for it to distinguish the additional RAM? Is there a suggested brand of RAM which I ought to purchase in its place?

This notebook is sold standard with 1 GB of RAM. To double the ram and then bring it to its maximum expansion of memory and need to replace the 1 GB internal SoDimm with a new 2GB. You cannot add another 1GB module because the netbook has a single slot for memory Ram SoDimm.

Adding memory (RAM) to a laptop HP Mini 100 series is an easy way to increase the performance of your computer without too much expense. License to use the Windows 7 Starter Edition, HP was forced to limit the model to 1 GB of RAM. However, the computer can support an upgrade to 2 GB of RAM.

To learn how the memory is divided into the laptop, how many slots are provided, how many are occupied, we can consult the manual that came with the hardware and simultaneously monitor utility with very light yet effective: CPU-z. Started CPU-Z, you have to open the tab called "SPD" where we can see how many RAM slots are occupied and what are the technical characteristics of the modules installed. Usually at most laptops have two slots for RAM, the ultraportable have just one hand. It does not matter if the RAM modules have the same ability but it is essential to work at the same frequency or the fastest chip slows down his speed of work adapting to the slower rate of the chip.

I think that you need to upgrade the BIOS. Normally this is the only solution available for laptops or any other computer. If the motherboard is still running with older BIOS, then it won’t be able to run along with 2GB.
