Unable to install MSI 770 c45 audio driver.

Hi, this is my system configuration
MSI 770 c45 mb
Athlon II 245
4gb (gigs)ram of markvision
1000 gb (gigs)of storage and 320 of operating system hitachi hard disk
9400 gt video card
media card reader
dvd burner of liteon
generic case and power supply
Some day before I have installed windows XP with service pack 3 and now I am unable to install the audio driver with it. I installed Lan and system drivers without any problem. Even I have upgraded the bios. Then I try with Ubuntu 9 live cd and I get a clear sound without any error. It means that there is no problem with my audio section. I also tried to install the driver in safe mode but still it’s not working.

Hi I hope this information will help you please follow the steps
1. First attached the HD Audio bus driver from the KB888111 hotfix.
2. Now download and extract the files to a useful location.
3. After that open Device Manager, and look for the unidentified PCI device
4. Now Right click on the unidentified PCI device to update the driver
5. Point the driver path to your specified useful location.
6. After doing this step The UAA audio bus driver will be installed
7. If in your system you already installed the Realtek HD Audio Drivers then it will installed automatically and the audio hardware is ready for use. If it’s not then you can now install the Realtek drivers. In the final version, put your driver in the service pack. The RC Service Pack 3 does not contain the driver, which seems impractical.

The hotfix is comes with the realtek driver, but it comes with compressed format so it’s not possible this to add in slipstreamed install. But I observed one thing in it. when I tried to run hotfix separately it said me that it was not needs so then I come to know that it was already include in the windows XP service pack 3.then I search it on a Microsoft website. And from there I come to know that they are not providing htofix download directly. For that you have to request it for its support. So according to me if it’s not including with your audio driver then it may be included with your windows XP service pack 3.

Hello I am facing this same problem. I am not able to find kb888111xpsp2.exe file. And it’s not able to run with windows XP service pack 3.so I download and run REGMON and from that I capture the registry access abut kb888111 installer. Then I again change my registry access setting and reboot it again. But still it’s not working properly in my system. So now I want to know how I can extract the files from kb888111xpsp2.exe file. Now I am out of my ideas so please help me to solve this problem. Thank you.

Hi I think this information will help you to solve your problem. According to me you can easily extract files from kb888111xpsp2.exe file. For that you have to install winzip or winrar in your system. Now right click on your kb888111xpsp2.exe file and choose location where you want to extract that file. After extracting this file you will actually point towards the manually updating driver. And this will come under common files folder. Try this in your system I hope it will work. Please tell me what happen after these settings, so I can give you some other solution.

Hi even I was facing this same problem but I solve this by simple registry settings in my system. I reinstalled my windows slipstreamed with the final release of service pack 3.then after that I changed my registry setting. For that I had to uninstall my drivers and I require to do reboot. But after that it worked. I don’t know how this happen but after this setting it start working. So if you know the all system settings then you can try this. I hope this will help you. Thank you.
