If you do not want to automatically sync to the iPod music content or iPhone, you can set manual sync.
1. The device connected to the computer, then open iTunes.
2. In the iTunes window on the left of the "Device" section, select your iPod or iPhone.
3. In the main iTunes browser window, select the "Summary" tab.
4. Select "Manually manage music and videos" or "Manually manage music" option. This will de-select "music", "movie" and "TV" tab to set the automatic synchronization. "Podcast", "photo", "Address Book" and "game" can automatically synchronize their own label by selecting the option to separate out.Note:Managing iPod manually, it will enable "for disk" function, but also in the manual before disconnecting always be launched from the iTunes iPod.
