Why Apple's 3G iPhone doesn't work on Verizon's Network

I'm having an Apple's 3G iPhone. I would like to know that Why Apple's 3G iPhone doesn't work on Verizon's Network? Any body knows about it? Kindly provide me the proper information on the above issue. Let me know your views on the above topic. Any kind of suggestion would be appreciated.

It might not work on verizon. But if someone can crack it it can be used with verison too. It surely can be cracked.They wont work now unless there Unlocked which costs a lot more. Infact all the CDMA phones can be cracked not just iPhone.

Verizon uses CDMA radios and are not compatible with GSM radios AT&T uses in their phones. Both standards are capable cellphone frequencies and standard. GSM has an edge only in the fact that it is a world-wide standard and the flexibility of the SIM-card activation business model. The iPhone is exclusive to AT&T in the United States for about 5 years from launch date. Only those carriers using GSM can be made to work with the iPhone until that 5 year agreement runs out.

The iPhone 3G uses GSM which is a SIM card network on AT&T. Verizon uses CDMA technology which does away with SIM cards. The iPhone 3g S is a GSM phone for ATT, the Verizon network is a CDMA network. There is no way to make the phones compatible. So, there's no way that an iPhone 3G will work on Verizon's network even if it is jailbroken. If you do manage to jailbreak it, you can only use it on T-Mobile's network because it uses GSM technology. Otherwise, the iPhone won't work on Verizon.

No, you will never be able to get the iPhone to work on Verizon. the iPhone is a GSM phone and Verizon uses CDMA. Because the iPhone 3G only works with AT&T. It is impossible to unlock with our lashing out more money in early termination fees and extra fees. Because you can't take it off the shelf and pay anymore.
