Does Apple's 3G iPhone work on Verizon

I am having Verizon connection with me and i am planning to have iPhone for myself the only one thing which is making me worry is that will Apple iPhone will work with my Verizon connection. does anyone has any idea about it then please let me know or else at last i have drop my planning of buying Apple 3g iPhone.

I think iPhone will not work with Verizon because Verizon network is based on CDMA which doesn't have any place for inserting sim card and iPhone uses 3G which is based on GSM protocol.For your information GSM and CDMA are two different technology so i guess you wouldn't be able to use. But there are many people who will make some changes in your iPhone and you would be able to use your iPhone with Verizon network.

According to my information you won't be able to use your iPhone with verizon because Iphone is not 3Git has EDGE which is very much slower than 3G network and 3G & EDGE are AT& T networks which is located in United States. It is very impossible to use with Verizon network by there people try to use it and at the end there iPhone gets damage.I would recommend you to not take iPhone if you are planning to use Verizon network.
