Closing a tab in IE closes all tabs

I have a very weird problem. My IE started freezing subsequently whenever it feels like freezing for no apparant reason. This was not enough for it to trouble me and i started getting this new problem! IE will close by itself anytime without giving any error or warning. If it works fine it will not be a good boy! Whenever i close single window or even a single tab of it, all the windows of IE would close... Is there any solution for this? Is this a bug? Or is it some kind of infection in my computer? Help Guys!

I would recommend you to update your antivirus first and then scan your computer. If you find any infection then your computer is at trouble for sure. I would recommend the complete clean install. Virus now a days are too sticky and will come back if you just format the system partition and install windows again leaving other drives as it is, as those drives will already have the virus untouched...

IE7 freezes on Vista 64-bit This describes the exact same problem that you have and how it may have started. Also try the remedies given there may help you out. But i would recommend you to switch the browser. IE has always been too buggy to use... Firefox rocks!
