    Congrats to Abhinav Bindra for taking Indian shooting sports to another new level. This is India’s first gold medal since 1980.

    Abhinav Bindra who is an Indian is from a small town Zirakpur which is in Mohali, Punjab. He won the gold medal in the current World Olympic championship in the 10 m Air Rifle event at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games since 1980 as being the last gold medal won by an Indian. Government also announced him some monetary awards which totaled upto Rs. 2 crores. We should be really proud of Abinav Bindra.
