Newish Gateway EC1433 messssed up

Hey guys

I upgraded the 2gb of ram that my Gateway EC1433 came with and upped it to 4gb of ram using Patriot so dimm ram.

Ever since I upgraded I have been getting the blue screen of death every now and then. I eventually bypass it and just use the computer normally, but now something strange has happened...

iTunes will not play music, Youtube plays insanely slowly with a lot of lag, and my laptop no longer plays any sounds out of the speakers.

I have been trying to reformat (Windows 7) but I do not have a cd drive. I tried backing the OS onto my external HD and hard disk but it won't let me.

Anyone got any tips?

THANKS

In that case i would suggest you to take external CD drive or else if you want you can also run system restore if you had done. After doing all the things even if you are still facing any issue then i would suggest you to install Windows XP with usb flash drive or you can also check out below links for more solution

Installing Windows 7 using Pen Drive
