If your motherboard supports your new processor then you dont need to Reformat or reinstall your OS, unless your OS is capable of using New processor ie. dual core. Find out what type of processor & Graphic Card is supported by your motherboard.
My motherboard is socket 939 & i have a PCI-E x16 slot so i dont think anything missing. Is it case that i need to Change Motherboard + Processor?
I had no problems swapping a Pentium D 820 with an x2 4400. If you switch mobos though, you are likely to need a reinstall.
I want to buy a laptop but I hesitate between 3 processors:
- Intel Core 2 Duo T5800
- Intel Core 2 Duo P7350
- Intel Core 2 Duo P8400
The processor comes with a graphics card GeForce 9600M GT 512MB of RAM 3 Gb.
What processor is the most powerful?
I thank in advance
the 7350 is equipped with the famous centrino 2 therefore this is the best in my opinion
OK is the difference is significant and justifies a small price difference?
