How to remove a partition on your hard drive?

Hi,

I have a old computer, which I have formatted recently. But mistakenly partitioned the C drive too small, due to which my pc has become slow and I have many other programs to install. I would like to remove the partition and use the entire 160GB hard drive as the C drive. Is there an easy way to unpartition the drive to return to one physical drive, or do I have to back everything up to another computer, blow everything off my laptop, and then reformat it?

To delete the partition on your hard disk, try the following steps :

1. Go the Control Panel.
2. Open Administrative Tools.
3. Open Computer Management.
4. In the left pane, under Storage, open Disk Management.
5. The right pane should show a list of your drives, by letter, above a diagram of what partitions they have if any.
6. Right-click within any of the fields below the colored bars, and select Delete Partition.
