In the sound option, you have the choice in ALSA and OSS, ALSA chosen

Nothing to do, it's still not working, even with Kubuntu. Yet with Mandriva, no problem. It seems that the sound card Sound Blaster X-Fi is not compatible. Even Creative Lab has no drivers for Linux. They have a Linux 64-bit beta. I continue to search.

Do you have a sound card integrated on the motherboard in addition to the Soundblaster?
