If you can extend your budget to 70k you can go with the configuration listed in my Signature. Handles pretty well any games at high settings and graphic related projects as well.

Graphic Card Ati Sapphire HD 4870 Card - 19000 Rs.
    Smps Corsair 750 Watts - 8200 Rs.
    Corsair Twin 2x 2048 - 8500c5ram (800mhz) - 3000 Rs.
NZXT Zero Cabinet - 7500 Rs.
Pentium Quad Core Q9300 Lga 775 Cpu - 12500 Rs.

Your computer configuration should reflect what sort of work you're going to do with it. Are you doing professional work, or is Maya a hobby? If you're looking to do things professionally, then don't get the bare minimum. The last thing you need when working on a deadline is to deal with technical problems. Go for a Quadro and as much RAM as you can afford.

    hey freakmaster,
you have Graphic Card Ati Sapphire HD 4870 Card - 19000 Rs
    but
i think if he goes a bit professional way it will be good.
i mean "nvidea quadro fx 1500" at around 18000 Rs is better than what you have.or even better "nvidea quadro fx 1700" at around 22000 Rs.these both are
professional cards recemonded by nvidea for these type of purposes.
I have used both and they are very good at 3d,visual efx, games, video encoding.
    and here is my config.
    Gigabyte EP45-DS3R - 8000 Rs.
intel Quad Core Q9550 at 2.83 GHz - 14500 Rs.
    nvidea quadro fx 1700 - 22500 Rs.
    RAM 8GB - 4400 Rs.
    HDD sata 500GB * 2 - 6000 Rs.
    antec cooler master 600w - 3500 Rs.
i can encode a avi movie to x264 mkv in just 35-40 min.
with normal graphics card it used to take 2-3hrs.

I have bought this card 8 months ago, so the price was very high at its release. Usually what I liked about this card is that I can make a crossfire setup with the mobo that am using and its gddr5 technology as well which makes it overclocking go smooth also.

im not trying to say that its bad card. im trying to say that professional cards which i discribed are meant to be specially for those purposes.
    even they have sli support.
