    HDMI and 5.1 on Vista

    Hello everyone.

I connected my HTPC to my amp with HDMI, and when I start a movie in 5.1 amp stereo remains When I walk through the audio properties of Vista for my device "HDMI", it allows me to choose "stereo" in the configuration of my speakers.

Do you an idea of why and how?

Look at the configuration of your video player, he looks sure to decode the audio instead of directly on the digital HDMI ...

    I've tried everything ..
At best I DTS that works but not dolby.
For dolby, if I turn the mixer ffdshow I stereo and if I hear disables .

I said that my PCHC reality is not directly connected to my amp but through the TV.
    It provides: PCHC> HDMI> TV> Coax> Ampli
