    First Global Educentre of GTT to provide 'Employability Skills'

    Global Talent Track Pvt. Limited (GTT), the innovative employable skills assessment and training company, announced the official inauguration of its first Global Educentre in India. The new centre, set-up with an initial investment of over Rs 1 Crore, is equipped with state of the art technology and facilities to provide a unique learning experience and enhance the employability of all students and graduates seeking to secure the best jobs in the post recession era.

    Dr. Uma Ganesh, training industry veteran and CEO of GTT said “The programs have been developed with the active participation of industry, and our global advisory board has been instrumental in getting the highest quality of learning curriculum technology and methodology to this center which will significantly enhance the employability of all participants. The Pune Educentre is the first of over fifty centres we will set up in India, China and other parts of Asia in the next twelve months. We are committed to the cause of Higher Education transformation and have a mission of making 100,000 students highly employable in this period.”

    GTT’s Global Educentre was inaugurated by Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India who was the chief guest at the event. Industry CEOs like Mr. Pradeep Bhargava, Chairman of CII Maharashtra and CEO of Cummins Newage, academic stalwarts like Captain Chitale and Dr. Vidyasagar of Pune University and other eco-system enablers of Pune participated in the launch event. The centre is located in the heart of the city with close proximity to colleges and residential areas and offers two categories of programs – GTT Vantage with specialization in a range of verticals for undergraduates and GTT Premier for graduates both offering cutting edge curriculum leading to employment opportunities. GTT has embraced a unique learning methodology where classroom training is augmented by interactive support, a global mentor network, industry projects and e-learning.

    Speaking at the launch, Dr. Ganesh Natarajan, Chairman of the National IT ITES and eCommerce Committee of the CII and former Chairman of NASSCOM said “The choice of the well proven German dual system, which brings in industry participation to augment the employable skills provided in a variety of services domains will bridge a huge gap that exists in Education and Training today. The availability of the entire range of employability skills imparting programs under one roof will make the GTT Global Educentre a single stop solution for the problems faced by young people in a depressed economy and a weak employment environment.”

    The company continues to strengthen & expand its strategic relationships with academic and industry partners across verticals and geographies including Telecommunications, Government, Public Sector, Financial Services, Life Sciences, Healthcare and Manufacturing industries. GTT’s Global Educentres are also coming up in Jaipur, Delhi and Chandigarh later this month.

    ABOUT GTT - In an initiative to transform skills building in India, Global Talent Track (GTT) announced that it will provide high quality learning opportunities to over five lakh students in the country annually by 2012, thus increasing employability of the students. GTT also announced a comprehensive programme with Pune University in collaboration with Cisco, the worldwide leader in networking, which will be the first major initiative in this area. GTT has adopted an approach towards complete educational transformation which will hone those skills of students that will make them professionally competent. GTT has been working with several universities in India, the recent one being Kashmir University where 2000 students would be groomed for employability based on assessment of their talent.
