Blue Screen - STOP ERROR 0x0000007A on Windows XP

I have a Windows XP system. It is a XP Home Edition that came with the system itself. Everything was pre-installed and it was working fine. I performed Windows Update and changed my antivirus. I was using AVG which I replaced with Norton. After few hours of working there is a bluescreen and the system crashed. The error that appear on the screen is 0x0000007A. I cannot figure out why this error appears and what is the cause of the same.

Go to event viewer and check the detailed information on the error. There is a description available in that which offers information on the error and associated file. It is not at all complicated to find a cure for this. BSOD appears when there are some major changes in your system files. There can be virus. Hardware reasons are faulty ram, faulty hardware attached to the computer and many other thing.

First of all, can you please tell us what kind of operating system have you installed in your machine? The error code that you are getting could be if you have the UlraDMA66/ATA66 (80 wire/40 pin) IDE cable attached to the drive that you are trying to install Windows 2000 on. Windows 2000 does not fully support the UltraDMA66 controller. For more information, visit this site - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/275149

Windows XP. This is happening viewing a video - it stops, then restarts and then stops and the blue screen error message fills the screen. We have ran several virus and malware softwares and the virus software is always up to date.

You should not install more than 1 antivirus in your system, because if there are more than 1 antivirus, then it each one of them start to block some or the other files on your system, which corrupts the system files in your pc. So go into Safe Mode and then uninstall all the antivirus program and its remains and then restart and reinstall only of antivirus and then try to scan the pc.
