Matshita UJ-822Da - Firmware upgrade

I have got a Sony Vaio laptop with me and am using the "VAIO UPGRADE" utility. In that I was getting a new version of the firmware for the optical drive Matshita UJ-822Da and so I downloaded it. After that I installed this new version on my laptop and immediately the device stopped working if I am inserting any audio cds. The drive is working with CD, DVD but it wont work with audio. I also tried to search for the older version to remove the new version of the firmware but I couldnt get anything. Is there anyone who can assist me?

Even if you have not installed the firmware properly in your system, then it is normally a hardware problem, so you will need to go to the Mashita website and ask the tech support for the repair. This is not in any case an Operating System problem.

You can download the Matshita UJ-822 DVD±RW Optical Drive Firmware Update Utility from here and then again try to do a update incase if there was some problem with the firmware upgrade that you did before.
