What is the 1394 connection?

I need some information on 1394 connection. I am having a Vista system here. I had installed it on my old xp pc. It is a multi-boot pc. Now in Vista when I go inside Local Area Connection I found multiple 1394 connection on the same. When I try to connect the same I am getting a error. It is simply not working well. I tried some to connect on some but it failed to work. It is giving me error. Is some one trying to hack my pc.

Just update your Ethernet drivers. After installing Windows Vista did you installed Vista drivers also. You can find the driver update on the official website of your motherboard manufacturer. Download all the driver updates and install them in your pc. That's all. All connection will be wiped out. It looks there are some pending hardware in your pc. You can collect more relative information on the same in Device Manager.

Those can be additional firewire ports in your pc which are pending to install and which is giving you errors. It is correct that if you update your motherboard drivers the issue will be resolved. It does not means that your system is going hacked. You just need to run the driver updates. That's all. Your job is done.
