Wireless problem after installing SP3

When I installed SP3 on an Acer laptop, which is running on Windows XP SP2, then it will not connect to my wireless network. It will simply sit there trying to acquire an IP address but doesnt succeed. It will also say the signal strength is low where it is usually excellent and is trying to connect at 1 mbps. Trying to find networks in range results in the claim there are no networks in range. And removing SP3 restores everything. I have a Belkin router by the way? Please help

When you installed SP3 then have you tried to delete the wireless connection and created a new one? Also try to input your security settings again.

I had the same problem.
Use WEP instead of WPA.
