Windows media player 11 info wrong

I recently purchased a new 14 track CD and I want to rip it to my WMP 11. If WMP opened up the CD, then there was a no media info. I took out the CD and reinserted it and not it shows up along with album art and song names, but the songs are wrong. Also, one song over there is listed 3-4 times and on one its even misspelled. The cd is playing right away in the proper order as listed in the Cd Box, as per WMP, and the song playing now is wrong in name. There are some song names that are even missing. But there are 14 tracks listed in WMP with half the songs in the wrong order and wrong names, what I must do then? Any ideas

When have you bought the 14 track CD? It could be that most of its tags might be not correct. You might need a Tag editor to correct the music files on your hard drive. There are many music file apps that you can test and use, for instance, MP3Trim software has a tag editor, download it from the net.

I think that yahoo music jukebox reads the tags properly. I also had the same issue. When I am trying to listed to a new CD, then it plays the tracks I expect.

Even I am facing similar issue. Sometimes it will show the right informations and sometime it will not. Microsoft needs to solve this issue.
