    Windows Photo Gallery

I wish I wouldn’t have installed Windows Live components on my system. I have a Windows XP Media Center Edition system and last week I installed Windows Live with Windows Photo Gallery. Installation went fine but from the next day I keep getting a pop up window every 30 minutes or an hour saying “system is configuring Photo Gallery” and after few seconds it says “can't find the file Photo Gallery.msi”.

This is getting very annoying. Even after uninstalling the entire windows live suite from Add and Remove programs, surprisingly I still jeep getting this pop up on my screen. I though running Windows Installer Debug software but that doesn’t helped in any way. Can anyone from here please help me out getting rid of the same? I will appreciate that.

Is it is appearing even after removing from system, then the best workout is restoring your system to a point earlier then installing Windows Live components. See if you have a restore point that is older than that and restore to the same.

    It will help.

Alright wimmer, just go through the following steps to get rid of the same:
    1. Downoad "Live Photo Gallery.msi" from here and save it on desktop. Rename the downloaded file to Rename to "Photo Gallery.msi"

    2. Now download and install "Revo Uninstaller" (Free)

    3. Install (yes again) "Photo Gallery.msi"

    4. Open "Revo Uninstaller" and find "Photo Gallery" (it may have a different name)

    5. Revo will clean all traces of "Photo Gallery"

    6. Open Picassa to test.

    Thats it.
