    Uninstalling Microsoft .net framework 2

I am having trouble with .net 2 and need to uninstall and reinstall it. I am
getting an error message stating "The installation source for this product is
not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it."
I had allready uninstalled .net 3. I have also been having problems for a
long time with updates to .net not installing after downloading. Can anyone
tell me how to get around this? Thanks.

Does .NET 2.0 load ok,either way,try reinstalling 2.0,then install the hotfix

This did not work. There was not an option to install .net. It would only
allow a fix or an uninstall. Both failed giving an error message stating the
..net had "encountered a problem during setup. Setup did not complete
    correctly."
