    mini slide bar

This is getting very annoying now. I’m having a Windows XP based Dell Vostro 1500 laptop. I have connected an external mouse with the same to make work easier. Whenever I push my mouse fast a mini slide bar appears with small arrow on both of its sides. It moves the pages up and down, left or right. But it moves very fast. I actually don’t need it but it appears automatically.

Can anyone please tell me from where is appearing and how can I turn it off permanently? I don’t need it any time, It is very irritating.

    Re: mini slide bar

As per your description (small sidebar with arrows on both sides) it appears when you middle click your mouse. I mean when you click the scroll of the mouse. It is for faster navigation. There is nothing to enable or disable it. You will just need to make sure that you don’t click the middle mouse on any empty space.

If I’m wrong and you were talking about some another slidebar then it would probably your mouse software. You can confirm the same by removing the mouse from your laptop. See if it appears again. Which mouse are you using? Is it Logitech?
