Cannot boot to safe mode AT ALL

I am using a Windows XP Sp3 desktop. Since past few days I am facing some critical problem with the same but that’s not the matter here. I can simply fix it by running System Recovery. But before actually going for Recovery I wanted to know if there is any other way I can fix the problem hence I tried booting into safe mode but just after Safe Mode loads “mup.sys”, it suddenly crashes and restarts automatically with an error message saying:

    0x0000007B(0xF7906528, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Any idea what is it related to and how can I fix the same? Many thanks for all your helps.

Well seems like you will need to reformat C drive and install Windows again. See if you are able to boot from CD. If the CD crashes you will need to find out some another way to re-install like find if your any friend is using Windows XP Professional Edition and having the CD. Use it to repair.

your windows cd can be helpful because it provides 2 options/tools in addition to installing windows. one of the options is to log into the recovery console that will give you access to the disk system. at the disk prompt you
    can try running these commands:

    fixboot
    bootcfg /rebuild
    chkdsk

then exit, reboot without cd and see if you have regain access to your regular and safemode windows.

here is more info for the above:

    Hi,
    I have a similar problem.
system is getting restarted after windowsxp is displayed.

    Options i tried
    1) i am not able to enter safe mode as it is getting restarted after selection.
    2) i tried using with "Last known good configuration" then also it restarts
    3) i tried to reinstall os and after it got rebooted it is getting restarted.
    4) i again tried to install os and now the options screen is replaced by the blue screen with error being displayed as

    showing the message as :
    restart or Shutdown:

    Stop: 0*0000008E (0*C0000005,0*80882211,0*F9A0B8F4,0*00000000)

i tried checking the hardware connected, replacing ram in another slot but still the problem persists.

can anyone give me a solution
